Managing Director Germany
Anna Reiländer
Making waves at PFM since February 2026
What does your day-to-day role at PFM involve?
In short: movement, in both senses of the word. Our clients want to understand how people move through their locations, and my role is all about turning that data into real decisions.
In practice, that means speaking with retailers and shopping centre operators, demonstrating our Advantage platform, refining proposals and making sure footfall figures lead to an “Ah, that explains it” moment for the client.
No two days are the same. I might start the morning with a strategy meeting for a shopping centre operator and spend the afternoon answering a detailed question about sensors and network infrastructure. That variety is exactly what I enjoy.
What makes PFM a great place to work?
We are building something exciting in Germany, and every idea matters. Decision-making is fast, the level of responsibility is high, and our international collaboration feels like one team rather than a collection of different countries.
You can tell that people here genuinely care about what they do. And when we come together, celebrating as a team is just as much a part of the experience as the workshop day that came before it.
What are you mainly working on at the moment?
Our biggest project in Germany: guiding our existing clients step by step onto the new platform.
Every client has a different setup, a different history and different objectives. It is sales, consultancy and project management all in one.
At the same time, we are winning new clients across the retail and shopping centre sectors. It feels like a start-up with the backing and momentum of an established business.
Something extra: a funny quote, lesson or thought to share
My key learning: “The price follows the solution, not the catalogue.”
It sounds like sales advice, but it is really a lesson for life: first understand what someone truly needs, then make the offer. It works surprisingly well when buying gifts too.
