PFM Intelligence Group is a European leader in people flow and retail intelligence solutions. We help our clients understand how people move through spaces — and turn those insights into decisions that boost performance and elevate customer experiences.
We’re now looking for an entrepreneurial, commercially minded Managing Director (DACH Region) to lead, grow, and represent our business across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland — one of PFM’s most strategic growth markets.
About the Role
This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for the commercial, operational, and financial performance of PFM in the DACH region. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll translate PFM’s European growth strategy into concrete local execution — ensuring sustainable growth and operational excellence.
As our senior representative in the region, you’ll strengthen PFM’s presence with clients, partners, regulators, and industry associations. You’ll also lead and develop a talented local team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and performance aligned with PFM’s global values.
This position calls for a leader who combines strategic vision with commercial acumen and a hands-on management style. You’ll play a key role in market expansion, M&A integration, and driving results across multiple business lines.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
Lead and oversee all business activities across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Translate PFM’s European vision into a clear regional strategy with measurable objectives.
Build and scale a multidisciplinary team across sales, marketing, operations, and support.
Represent PFM as the senior executive in the region — engaging with customers, partners, and industry bodies.
Ensure compliance with local legal, tax, and labour regulations and uphold governance standards.
Commercial Growth
Drive excellence across business development, key account management, and customer success.
Identify and pursue growth opportunities in retail, shopping centres, and smart spaces.
Lead M&A initiatives (buy & build) from identification to integration.
Build long-term relationships that strengthen PFM’s footprint and recurring revenue.
Collaborate with group leadership on pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategies.
Operations & Performance
Oversee daily operations and ensure delivery excellence and client satisfaction.
Align regional teams with global functions such as Finance, HR, Product, and Data & Insights.
Manage budgets, KPIs, and performance metrics, ensuring accountability for results.
Provide regular reporting to the CEO and Board on progress, challenges, and opportunities.
People & Culture
Inspire, coach, and empower a high-performing regional leadership team.
Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Attract and retain top talent across all business areas.
Promote PFM’s inclusive, data-driven, and customer-focused culture.
What You Bring
Proven success leading a national or regional business, ideally within B2B technology, data analytics, or retail intelligence.
Experience scaling organisations and delivering growth in competitive markets.
Strong commercial and financial acumen with a focus on revenue and profitability.
Experience in mergers, acquisitions, and post-merger integration.
Deep understanding of the DACH business environment, regulations, and culture.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Fluency in German and English; additional European languages are an advantage.
An entrepreneurial mindset — balancing strategic leadership with operational execution.
